Atlanta Is Burning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok well I guess Vick's nickname "Superman" fits because he single-handedly destroyed a franchise! I am sure I will catch hell but guess its my blog and I can say what I want!
How stupid is this dude? Then I here he just retained council today????? Is he serious? My advice to Vick take the plea deal. Cut your losses and take the deal. Many smarter than he and with less on the line as far as the nature of the crime have rolled the dice with the feds and lost. Martha Stewart ring a bell.
Hell it was only a state case but the reason why Genarlow got that time is because he didn't take the plea deal. His cohorts are out been out. Take the deal!!

And for all the members of the "its because he's black" club. Be for real its because he's STUPID!!!!!! PETA protests everywhere from Capital Hill to the Gucci runway at a fashion show in Milan. This is about $$$. The money he is costing the franchise, himself, the fans, the NFL, the sponsors. The interest % alone he would have earned on just his NFL salary not his endorsements would have been far greater than a $30K bet here and there. If you want an adrenaline rush hell do a line or two, pop a pill, (they would have sent him to rehab after they let him slide the 1st 10 times)take up NASCAR, jump out of planes, join the police department, become stunt man whatever but do not embarrass a city and then try to plead I didn't know defense.

I said previously that he would not play in Atlanta again and I think today's press conference was pretty clear on where the Falcons stand. I still say at the 1st opportunity the Falcons will cut him. Forget him ATL. He was never going to take us to a SuperBowl. Although he was fun to watch. Hell we didn't even get to the playoffs last season. He doesn't care about us so ATL get over him. He is the poster child for illiteracy and ignorance at its best. He is from a family of the same (Marcus ring a bell).

Let's look back at all the issues, anyone remember the Ron Mexico incident (hell maybe his new endorsement should be for Zovorax) then there is the weed/airport incident that went away (I'm sorry we all know what weed smells like but in MIA you can buy your way out of that), then there are all the my entourage flies because I am the face of Airtran incidents that those outside of ATL may or may not have heard of, and now this.

I know we "don't want to forget my boys" or "where i came from" but for $100mil give all 'your boys' $1mil and a financial advisor and the following warning : I am giving you this because you are my boy and we go way back. Take this $1mil and make your fortune or blow it all. Either way you can never say I didn't look out for you." People have made their way in the world with far less than a $1million hand out.

Sorry ATL. Sorry Arthur Blank but its ok in time ATL will recover. Let's hope Shockley steps up because I will NEVER wear a Harrington jersey EVER!!!!!!!! I know somewhere Schaubb is laughing hysterically.

Oh and let us not forget the warning given by Jim Mora Sr. Those words "coach-killer" seem haunting now. Perhaps he saw what we all were blinded by:). I don't think Jim Jr. has any regrets at this moment.

On another note I went to the Beyonce concert last Friday night and there is a celebrity that lives up and surpasses all her glory. She is even finer in real life and can sing on the levels of a Patti Labelle, and performs in concert similar to Tina Turner or Prince supremeness. That is an all around head to toe baddest chic in the game and I am sure she will remain that way for a long time to come.

Dang, Ayana! Sounds like you want Beyonce? Oh my gawd I just got an erection thinking about the 2 of you together. Would you, if the opportunity presented itself. On the other issue, I feel sorry for Vick, but he put himself in the situation. Hopefully, he can plea his way out by turning state evidence and cooperating with federal authorities. I continue to wonder when are these young brothers going to realize no matter how much money they have, that they are not impervious to the legal system. I wish him well! But don't worry Atlanta fans another Savior is on the way, D. Culpepper will step in and be the savior. I have to go I can't get the image of you and Beyonce together between the sheets out of my head and I need both my hands for typing, so I'm out.

Way to go girl I'm from the same area of VA that The Vick's are from and I am tired of this guilt by association. His childhood was not that awful. We as blacks need to stop this O.J. is one of us so we will stick up for him at any cost mentality. Good luck Ayana with all of your new ventures and keep up the good work.

Way to go girl, I'm from the same area of Va that the Vick's are from. I am so sick and tired of all these reporters and talk show host justifying bad behavior and illegal activity just because of where they are from. There childhood was not that awful. Also we as black people need to stop this O.J. mentality were well stand by someone just because they are black and "the man" is out to get them. Sometimes they are guilty. So anyway good luck with all you new ventures.

P.S. Cowboys beat the Steelers in this years Superbowl.

Well now. Ayana, you said a whole lot and I agree with you on most of your observations. Yeah, on this one Mike is not being persecuted for being Black. Guess it often applies that you can take a homey out of the hood, but you can't very often take the hood out of a homey. Not sure what Arthur Blank was thinking when he sank so much scrill into Mike. What was Mr. Billionaire thinking? No doubt Mike is exciting to watch on some of his runs and passes too, but, that alone won't get the job done. Though in his defense, he did not have a decent offensive line last year, and the receivers dropped way too many very good passes.

Mike needed a mentor (babysitter) really badly; someone who could get into his head and get him to cut his boys loose like you said, Ms. Angel. LHM (Lord have mercy).

He still has not been proven guilty, though the charges are pretty heavy and horrible to read. At least he apparently isn't on videotape like Genarlow. Another LHM!

Gotta say many in this country are hypocrites. I luv dogs and hate to hear about the apparent cruelty. But, where is PETA and all the other four legged creature lovers when all the cows, pigs, chickens, etc. get murdered each day? Plus, some of the PETA lunatics are probably wearing leather belts. In India, cows are sacred.

Still, can't let Mike off the hook. He will have to go thru an ugly trial no doubt. With him having deep pockets, he might be able to wiggle and get probation and a fine.

Then that sleazy Al Davis will pick him up to be his QB in Oaktown.

In terms of strong teams this year, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Chargers and Colts be strong again. The Falcons can come back; it'll just take them a few years. They will not win six games this year me thinks.

Ayana, I am sorry to see you leaving the ATL. I came here from Cali and like many things about the city. Holla atchour boy some time. Would love to take you to dinner, or just hang out. Hey, it doesn't hurt to dream. At least I did get to meet you once in 2003 and talk to you for a bit in Cali; I was impressed by your sensitivity, realness, and you are also not stuck up. Smart as heck as well. Like all of us you also have a vulnerable human side.

I also travel to MIA a few times a year for work as we are trying to find some innovative ways to stop the spread of HIV. I hate this virus and wish we had a vaccine or cure. Unfortunately, we do not.

Oh yeah, I agree with you about Beyonce as well. She is one class act. Smart, modest, very talented, and fine too. A rare combination for sure.

Okay, I'm out....

Come on Ayanna...mentioning Beyonce in the same sentence with Labelle is heresy. I just watched Dreamgirls and Jennifer Hudson blew her away. Beyones is a great entertainer...but singing?

Ayana here is proof there can be life after being a Porn Star. Here is an article about a former pornstar which is currently on AOL BV Entertainment " Heather Hunter Life After Pornstardom" Heather Hunter is a former porn star who has parlayed her past into several successful new careers: she is now a novelist, painter, gallery-owner and entertainer. Heather was the first African-American to be inducted into the AVN (Adult Video News) Hall of Fame in 2003, the porn industry's highest honor. She retired from the adult entertainment business over ten years ago, and since that time has recorded albums and held exhibitions of her works. Heather's first book is the semi-autobiographical erotic novel 'Insatiable,' debuting today.
Read an excerpt of 'Insatiable' below, and meet Heather Hunter in a way you've never seen her as she answers our Five Questions.
Hi, Heather, thanks for coming in. So tell us, what inspired you to write your semi-autobiographical novel, 'Insatiable,' and what is it about?
I can truly say I've been working on my book for the past 10 years. I've always wanted to write a story about my life, but not express it as a tell-all book. So I put it out as an erotic novel about a girl named Simone Young. She runs to the world of fame, because she has this insatiable desire to be famous and at the same time to be loved. She winds up in porn--pretty much fulfilling people's desires--and through porn she goes through these trials and tribulations of trying to find love in all the wrong places. At the same time she becomes an amazing, big, top adult star and breaks into the mainstream entertainment business. I don't want to give up the whole book, because it's an amazing book. It's also very steamy--very titillating as I would say [laughs].
Did you find pornography to be an empowering career and how did you get into it? Is there a story that begins, "One day..."?
Well, everyone has a destiny in life and either you're going to follow it or you're going to go down another path. I just happened to be intrigued by the erotic business, so by the age of 18 I was dancing and I did my first movie. I can truly say the adult business was definitely an amazing journey for me. It's something I don't regret. It was definitely empowering and I wouldn't be where I am today if I wasn't the "Vivid girl" [laughs].
How did it feel to be the first African-American inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame?
Yes, I was the first African-American inducted in 2003. That was amazing. I was like, "it took a long time, it should have happened earlier" [laughs], but at the same time, I'm happy and blessed that it did. It's a high compliment.
How do you feel about the state of black women in today in terms of our financial, political and other forms of power and representation?
Wow, that's a double-edged sword right there. At the same time it's a personal issue. I think with anything dealing with African-American women, and just women in general, we need to get together and stand up, come together as one and really have a movement to make us as equal as men. That's a really touchy subject [laughs]. I struggle even with how the erotica business has influenced the mainstream and how black women are being degraded in so many ways, in a sexual form, dealing with hip hop, commercials--everything. I think that we need to stop pointing the finger and we need to really give everyone education and school people in the proper way to treat us. If women could come together and put all our emotions aside, oh my God, we could be stronger than ever and I think that's where we have to start. Today--now--but you know how the world is. You can't hold the protest sign by yourself. [laughs] It takes millions and billions, so all you can do is just pray that we will see the light.
Do you think you might get involved in politics or political action?
It's so funny, everyone calls me an "erotic feminist" as it is. [laughs] No, I really like being on "the down low". That's where I get pure happiness.
Thanks, Heather, for answering our Five Questions!
Read: An excerpt from 'Insatiable,' by Heather Hunter with Michelle Valentine--out now!

If she can be a success I know you will too!

You are so damn beautiful Ayana. I wish I could meet you. I love the way you bring it even when I don't agree with everything you said. I am down with you on the Vick thing though. Please don't use the race card on this people:). His ass was just stupid and that is it

First off to samuraiva:

YOU GOT THAT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!! Steelers over Cowboys! LOL =0)~

I agree with Ayana, Michael Vick is a goofass! Like Ayana said don't go playing the because he's black s**t! The bad thing is BECAUSE HE IS BLACK AND IS ACCUSED OF THIS...this only strokes the true emotions of folks who want to see him fail in the first place and how can you defend it? YOU CAN'T! I don't care if he never attended any of the dog fights he owned the property it happened on, he's just as guilty. And there is no damn way he didn't know about it!

PS- Ayana, YOUR GORGEOUS! =0)~
LOL

What a well written article... you basically summed up the whole Michael Vick situation. However, I do think he will play for the Falcons again. Check out the mention that I made of your view in my Vick report.

Hey, beautiful!!!

First, Vic is an idiot, plain and simple! I am sick and tired of these young men like him and Pac-man, making very bad decisions with thier money. Leave the streets in the streets!! Business and pleasure do not mix!!

Lastly, I am sad to hear of your move to the MIA, but realize it is work-related. I wish you the very best in your endeavors. I am and will be forever a big fan of yours. Stay sweet, babygirl!!

Ayana,

You are right on most of the blogs you create. I just feel bad for Vick because of his ignorance. why keep doing bad stuff cause these are your boys. At some point and time, you have to distance yourself and grow up and be a man and stand on your own two feet.

The one thing I can not agree on is what you say about the steelers. The steelers will be at the top this year in the afc north, you just watch and see. I know you like your boy chad, but he will prob have a pro bowl year, but the bengals will not. The steelers are back, just wait and see.

You should cum to winston-salem or greensboro,nc in the near future.
