Ok for all of you anonymous bloggers who think I am so arrogant etc I am not going to lay down and let people walk all over me just because I did porn. You can't be serious. Be for real. I will be by myself if that is the stipulation. I am not going to, as one idiot wrote 'just go with whoever likes you'......what the hell? If I don't like them why should I, period, point blank. What you all fail to understand is that ,my issues are no different then the rest of my white collar or blue collar female friends who have never taken their close off for anything. They actually will put up with a bit more than me and the get shitted on left and right. So I should let the man or woman dog me out for 1-2 years and then hope that after they have beat down my self esteem to nothing, pray they will decide that I am the last man standing? I have 5 regular friends right now that are following that philosophy and for one I think they will now move in with each other. And how long will it be before he does her the same way? If I am happy by myself I am not going to turn around and make myself unhappy so I can say hey that's my man or my woman.
So don't give me the just go with whatever comes. If I don't like it I'm throwing it back. I don't need a man or woman financially, and let's face it if I never had sex again I am A-ok there too. So if there is no substance to keep it together why should I? Sorry I am not desperate to be in a relationship. I can keep a dating line up and if that's all it ever is, that's all it ever is. I am not going to change my views because I did porn. Give me a break its 2007 and everyone has a past.

I am absolutely livid that the Falcons took Vick's $$ and gave it to Leftwich? Are they serious??? Is he not more immobile than what they already have? Did Jacksonville ever win more than 6 games in a season (when they had one of the best defenses in the league) while he was there? Or did they just hie him because he was black to try an appease the city of Atlanta? Not gonna work. He is no where near as dazzling nor does he have the personality, presence, or fans that Vick had and has. They should have used that $$$ to beef up the line because with 2 cinder blocks for feet QBs we will need some one to block for them.

Leftwich (Atlanta) Vick (Atlanta) Culpepper (Miami) when I have talked about McNair other than 1 sentence in a pick. As for McNabb that was more in defense of my personal fav Terrell Owens. You people kill me. If I recall I said Harrington sucked and you have never heard me sing his praises then or now? When did I praise Trent Green...oh please you are really reaching on that one.

As for your dating I do think you hold the guys you date to high standards and little errors, I don't think you have to accept mistreatment from any man, but I do believe you don't have to be so hard, besides a man will only do what you allow him to do to you. Ayana...I can appreciate your passion regarding relationships or the lack there of but EVERYONE has to take personal inventory on what kind of vibe he or she is giving off....in other words, one has to BE the kind of person that they want to attract. I have met very few people....male or female that are comfortable in owning up to what they are personally doing to sabotage their romantic endeavors. I see many Black women who complain about men but they rarely look inward as to what THEY may be doing to block potential romantic liasons. Your porn past is a BIG hurdle..perhaps not insurmountable but it also begs to ask what is your definition of a man and better yet a GOOD man? I know PLENTY of good dudes...moderately to highly successful, moral, no criminal backgrounds and the whole nine but a certain faction of Black/Brown women would classify them as "nerdy" or "soft"....essentially antithetical to the thuggish aesthetic...some women are looking for a thug like it's a vocation! So...until women start owning up to THEIR bs...this type of thing will remain cyclical. Ayana, I was visiting to check your picks for the week but I read your new posting and it was interesting. So, I read previous posting to read who was calling you arrogant. I couldn't find the posting that you were replying too, but I'm going to give you my opinion anyway. I think people get the idea of you being arrogant because of some of the posting you make, some of the comments do come across as if you are a goddess and men have to go above and beyond to be with you. But, on the other hand I've had the honor of spending time with you on 3 seperate occassions and I know for a fact that you are not that way, I feel you posses the sweetest personality, very easy to speak with and just all around wonderful. I do feel though that you are a little hard on African American quarterbacks, you have constantly trashed the skills of D. Culpepper, especially after he became a dolphin and seemed to praise the signing of trent green, but yet the results of green being in Miami has been the same, Miami continues to lose, the same goes for your beloved falcons, Vick is gone but they continue to lose, now its the offensive line, not the garbage at quarterback (Harrington). Going back to the dating situation if you would have given me the chance to woo you, maybe you wouldn't have to experience the troubles of dating you're currently battling. OH Yeah! Hi Ayana, I respect your decision on you deciding to remain single and not seelt for some bullshit that you shouldn't have too. Why do people feel they need to be with someone then settle for less and someone that doesn't meet there standards just so they will not be alone. i would have have given the satisfaction of explaining it to the people who write you that crap. you are write date someone you like and who likes you for you. yes it will be hard because of your past but why settle. your past is more visible but who are we to judge you? Ayana, please don't let a few 'bad apples' ruin it for the whole bunch. I personally enjoy your blog very much and frankly wish you would do it more often. I've even attempted to submit a couple of topics your way becuase I was interested in your opinion on them but I'm not certain you received them. At any rate, at the risk of sounding like the fan-boy I am I appreciate the level of access you allow by posting. I look forward to many more in the future.
Damn, I never realized you were such a huge football fan...Then again, i'd never read this blog until today, heh.
If you're a Falcons fan though, you're going to have a rough couple of years ahead of you I expect. The Falcons weren't even that good when they had Vick, and losing him has turned them into a complete train wreck. The team has ALOT of holes that aren't likely to all be filled in 1 or 2 offseasons, but I think drafting a QB in the 1st round this year would be a step in the right direction. Obviously neither Harrington or Leftwich are the answer longterm, they're both bandaid solutions. Teams looking for a QB are in luck this year though, as there's 3 quarterbacks in this years draft who look to be elite level guys, with Matt Ryan, Andre Woodson and Brian Brohm, and seeing as how Atlanta will almost certainly have a Top 10 pick this year, they should be in good position to grab one of those guys.
Anyway good luck, and i'll definitly be checking back in the future.

But, if a brother had a real interest in getting to know you one on one without prying eyes and whatever, what does he have to do ( I mean date and nothing else)? I think I am a pretty good guy and pretty good looking. I have met you in the past and you made the comment, I was cute, kinda a cross between John Legend and Jerome Bettis (although I am nowhere near as big as Jerome).
