Ok check this out. As porn always does they are taking a real scenario (IE Imus) and creating a DVD entitled Napppy Headed Ho. Now its porn so was I offended no. Hell I was not offended when it was said by Imus. But there apparently is now a sense of 'heightened' awareness in the black porn community and there is a petition against Kiss Ass Pictures, the company making the video, by some of the black producers in porn. Are you serious?????????? Give me a break!!!
Its PORN people. It is meant to excite, offend, creat fantasy, and be politically incorrect! With titles like Black Street Hookers, Pimps Up Ho's Down, Parking Lot Pimpin etc why should this title be anymore offensive than any other? Its PORN for goodsakes! Depending on who you are the act in itself is considered degrading. So the title is really irrelevant.
I mean seriously I was floored by the petition. At the end of the day porn as every other industry tries to capitalize on whatever they can and a Nappy Headed Ho DVD will sell and it will get made just like all the rest and the world will still go round. Since when did PORN producers black, white, chinese, purple or blue give a f***k about how the girls in the video are perceived in society or about breaking stereotypes. Porn is based on stereotypes (ie. Ghetto Booty, Black Dicks in White Chicks, Mami Cula Grande) etc etc etc. give me a break people. Before you get on your righteous high horse remember that..............IT'S PORN!!!!!!!

Well, it's obvious that they may be attempting to get attention for this movie anyway possible by pulling a publicity stunt such as this one. What better way to get attention than to stage a fake protest to the making of the flick. You should show your support of the making of the film by starring in the porn .... you have all the qualifications (lol)
“For we war not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, ann powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
This passage holds so true for us a black people. How can one convince a people who laid the foundation of civilization to do something that many consider degrading for a dollar bill and then have others see nothing wrong with it. This is how Imus and others who were able to get away for so long by doing what they do to us…before one can be respected one has to be self respecting….I am very offended by what the man said, but I am also offended by some of the things that I hear in our musical lyrics that degrade us as a people…I would be hypocritical if I said I did not enjoy sex as much as the next man…but I see web sites like “ghetto gaggers.com” in which white men make it a point to degrade sisters and sister allowing them to do so is trouble some to say the least, to see some of my people arrested in their development as human beings not growing to their full potential and knowing that most have not considered the residual effects of the action that they have engaged in is going to come back in one way or another to haunt them bothers me….to see brothers help facilitate the degrading of our sisters and lowering them to succumb to their lower nature for something so simple as a few dollars. Money can be spent but dignity should be not for sale… those that would produce these movies, songs and push this attitude do not have the productive growth and development of our community in mind…to entice and bait some of the best minds to do such things is nothing less than pure evil weather they be black or white..peace and blessings
I couldnt agree with you more Ayana. Really who's paying attention to the importance of the names. Truthfully the only time I care about the titles of any of these movies is when or if and more importantly I like the actresses in the movie. Like if Im looking for a movie starring Ayana Angel I'm remembering that title so when I go to the video store I can locate it better but overall the names dont matter especially compared to some of the other names I've seen but who's in the movie does matter.
Let's say you were still doing porn. Would you participate in the making of this movie, such as playing one of the nappy headed hos.
i know that this is a little bit off subject ayana, but i have been reading your blog for sometime now, but could never figure out how to post a reply. lol. anyhow i finally got my own blog now, so i can finally post a comment on your page. i just wanted to tell you how beautiful you are, and that i have seen alot of your work. even though you are not in the porn industry anymore, i wish you well in whatever you are doing now!
Ms Ayana hit it on the head when there are vids with hookers and hoes in thee title and other "degrading" words but who is paying attention to the title?? we listen to songs much worse. Personally I respect what Miss Ayana did because she is smart enough that she wasn't gonna stay in porn forever, soo she milked all of us for our money and it's gonna be the same for females who r going to be in the vid. the titles are obsolete. keep doing your thing . . .
I have to agree with you on this. Not just because I find you very attractive. But the Black Street Hookers series is on number 121. Where was the protest when the first issue was released. The issue at hand has been around way before Imus was using "nappy headed hoes". When black Americans begin respecting each other. Then other ethnic groups will start doing the same.
Now that's some funny ish.
Hmm... I think that these kinds of themes are a problem. I mean, I'm not usually one to tell people what they should or should not like, but if racism is hated in every other aspect of society, why not porn? We should try to destroy racism in every manner possible, including the exploitation of black people in porn. Why aren't white girls the "hoes"? Why does the white man feel the need to keep the African beauty on a leash and in submission? I personally enjoy movies with Pam Grier such as Foxy Brown and Coffy, where the kick-ass ebony beauty is out to kill the Man and exact her revenge, for herself in the story, and for the African-American people metaphorically.
Just my thoughts.

P.S. I thought it was funny how you, in talking about words not offending people, bleeped out the word fuck.

Until black men stop being pimps, and yes, at one point I was one, and our women stop being hoes we'll never get any respect from other nationalities. We've internalized the pimp/hoe paradigm to such an extent that it's de riguer from the poorest welfare neighborhood to the higher income black enclaves in Atlanta, New York, or Los Angeles. Whether we would like to admit it or not we are doing ourselves a disservice by glorifying the most low brow aspects of black culture. What is really sad is that our image suffers internationally as well. We are really in need of a new paradigm of blackness.
